Projects From Seven Classes and Two Schools Displayed at D-Lab's 2013 Spring Showcase

manual plastic bottle compactorOn Friday, May 10th, D-Lab teamed up with the MIT Museum's Second Fridays program to showcase 30 projects from seven classes, including two projects from Wellesley College's new D-Lab-inspired program, "Making a Difference through Engineering," in an evening event that was free and open to the public.

This year's Showcase included projects from D-Lab's newest class, D-Lab Education, including low-cost models of atomic structure for a school in Ghana, and a digital exchange connecting schools iD-Lab energy presentation n Boston with schools in India. For the first time, Design and Energy projects benefited from having students on the ground with community partners in Brazil throughout the semester, thanks to D-Lab's Study Abroad program.Click here for a full list, with descriptions, of the projects on display at this year's Showcase, and check out our Facebook album for photos.
