Women’s Leadership Series

By Elizabeth Cogliano Young, Associate Dean, New Student Programming and Holistic Initiatives, UAAP

The Office of Undergraduate Advising and Academic Programming (UAAP) sponsored a series of lectures featuring women faculty across the disciplines as part of the Holistic Theme. The series is designed to expose undergraduate and graduate students to accomplished women leaders and to the characteristics and tenets of leadership. Each lecture drew between 15-40 participants. The faculty highlighted in this series shared their life experiences, including their education, career paths, research successes and challenges. UAAP is planning on running the series again next year.

The event has been co-sponsored by several student organizations: Panhellenic, Society of Women Engineering, Black Women’s Association, African Students' Assn, Minority Business Association, and the Network of SLOAN Undergraduate Women
