MIT Careers Office Names a New Executive Director


Melanie Parker will join the Office of the Dean for Undergraduate Education on July 16, 2007, as the new Executive Director, MIT Careers Office.

Melanie has over 20 years experience leading career service programs at several universities, most recently serving as the Executive Director of Career Services and Experiential Learning at the University of Central Florida. She has a BS in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, a Master of Education from Mississippi State University and has done postgraduate study in Counseling and Psychology. She is an active member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) winning their Chevron Award in 2005 for Innovation and Groundbreaking Career Programming.
